  • On Friday, Georgia Amoore scored 34 points—including three free throws in the last 10 seconds—to help fourth-seeded Kentucky hold a 79-78 win over 13th-seeded Liberty in the first round of the women's NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats, who nearly lost a 17-point fourth-quarter lead, will face either Kansas State or Fairfield in the second round on Sunday.  WUKY
  • Former UK All-American Vernon Hatton died at 89 after a storied career with the Cats—he scored 30 points in the 1958 NCAA championship and hit a 48-foot-ten-inch shot in 1957 that forced a second overtime. He later played in the NBA and was honored as an SEC Legend in 2023.  WKYT
