ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On April 20th, a car crashed into a tree on the 5900 block of Todds Road at 2:30 p.m.—emergency crews rescued the driver using lifesaving equipment and transported him and a passenger to the hospital in serious condition. FOX 56
- ➤ Lexington police responded to a single-vehicle crash on the 5900 block of Todds Road at 2:20 p.m. on Sunday—both people in the vehicle were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and the road reopened after several hours. ABC 36
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A man from Eubank named Ralph Letner, 61, told neighbors he killed his wife and police later found her shot dead at a nearby home on Sunday, so he was arrested on charges of murder, domestic violence, and handgun possession by a convicted felon—investigation is ongoing. FOX 56
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Mayor Gorton delivered the annual Budget Address last Tuesday and released her Proposed Budget for FY26 featuring a General Fund of $539.2 million, the largest in Lexington history, that funds public safety, environmental quality, complete streets, & other projects. Council will begin revising the budget with a Budget Committee meeting on April 29th and will finalize it in early July. CivicLex
