CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Kentucky State Police said on April 20 at 1:14 a.m. (CST) that a 2009 Chevrolet HHR driven by 31-year-old David King left Sano Mount Olive Road in Russell County and struck a tree, killing one juvenile and injuring two others, and King was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide along with DUI and other offenses. - ➤ At Saint Paul Catholic Church in downtown Lexington, church leaders set up a memorial to mourn Pope Francis, who died at 88 on Monday morning. The church will hold special prayers during Mass this week—honoring his global impact and support for outreach ministries. ABC 36
- ➤ Religious leaders in Lexington expressed deep sadness and hope after Pope Francis’s death. Bishop John Stowe (appointed in 2015) said the Pope’s gentle leadership and tireless work unite church members as they prepare for the future. FOX 56
