- ➤ Lexington police are searching for a 10-year-old boy who went missing on May 2 at 7:00 p.m. from the 1000 block of Winburn Drive—he was last seen wearing a yellowish shirt, possibly pink pants, and Crocs and may be on foot or riding a bicycle. LEX 18
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Researchers at the Yale School of Public Health found that life expectancy for women in Kentucky increased only slightly—from 74.9 to 76.5—between 1900 and 2000, placing the state among the bottom five for gains. The study noted that improvements in sanitation, healthcare and tobacco policies helped boost overall life expectancy nationwide. FOX 56
- ➤ The Barnstable Brown Gala has funded diabetes research at the University of Kentucky by supporting the Barnstable Brown Diabetes Center. This funding helps improve treatment, education, and training (for future scientists) to support patients managing diabetes. WKYT
