  • Mayor Linda Gorton signed a proclamation Tuesday morning declaring May 4th through May 10th as International Firefighters Week to honor the Lexington Fire Department for its more than 150+ years of service. Fire Chief Jason Wells said the department responded to over 70,000+ calls last year while operating 24 stations and serving 620 personnel.  WUKY
