ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Cleanup continued for a second day in southern Kentucky as residents sifted through wreckage left by a tornado that killed at least 19 people—17 in Laurel County and one in Pulaski and Russell counties—while emergency teams prepare for more severe weather. WKYT
- ➤ The death toll from tornadoes over the weekend has risen to 19 after a woman in Russell County died and most fatalities occurred in southeastern Laurel County where many homes were damaged, state officials warn that the number could rise further. Ten people are being treated at UK Hospital—three in critical condition—and survey teams will begin damage assessments today as the state plans to seek federal disaster relief. WUKY
