- ➤ Council members finalized changes to the FY26 budget Tuesday — the adjustments are budget neutral and use pre-funding from FY25 savings to support projects such as a Lextran Downtown Circulator Pilot, a microtransit pilot and a Lexington Tech Council — but the full budget will be voted on June 12 at 6 p.m. The approved changes include all Link recommendations and ensure no new revenue is required from the General Fund. - ➤ At Tuesday's Council Work Session at 3 p.m. in Council Chambers, Lextran General Manager Fred Combs will show a study on a microtransit pilot project for an anywhere to anywhere service between Versailles Road and Newtown Pike. The study recommends running two vehicles every day from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at a $3 fare per ride—though fare revenue will cover only about 5% of operating costs so extra funding is needed. CivicLex
