CRIME NEWS

- ➤ On June 2, 2025, school teams competed in the district’s Battle of the Books, practicing reading comprehension and earning spots for a countywide championship; Tates Creek won the middle school division while SCAPA at Bluegrass led the elementary division with Clays Mill, Veterans Park & Ashland following. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The American Heart Association and Lexington Fire Department teamed up during National CPR and AED Awareness Week and Month to update the #LEXSaveLives campaign and boost hands-only CPR training at 24 fire stations, which helped raise Fayette County's bystander CPR response rate from 7 to 18 percent. The groups will appear at the Lexington Legends game on June 12 to demonstrate CPR techniques— a move aimed at saving more lives. LEX 18
