- ➤ New details in a nearly six‐year‐old homicide case led to the arrest of 53‐year‐old Jenny Keller in Scott County on a facilitation to kidnapping charge linked to the 2019 murder of April Arnett—she is scheduled for arraignment on Monday, July 7 at 9 a.m. LEX 18
- ➤ The Lexington Children’s Theatre was vandalized Monday when its front window was shattered across the sidewalk—officials said the theatre will keep its Summer Family Musical as planned and seek community help to replace the broken items. FOX 56
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Kentucky’s economy grew in 2024 with a 4.8% boost that pushed its GDP to $293 billion, helped by over $35 billion in investments and more than 60,500 new jobs since 2020. Gov. Beshear said the New Kentucky Home effort will bring more business and a better quality of life across the state — building on strong economic choices. The Lane Report
- ➤ Kentucky broke its tourism record for the third year when 80 million people visited in 2024, Governor Andy Beshear said. He noted tourism brought over $14.3 billion—supporting more than 97,000 jobs and adding over a billion dollars from Lexington to the state’s success. LEX 18
