- ➤ Local reporter Ellen Ice launches her new segment 'In Our Community' and visits the Lyric Theatre on Third Street, where executive director Christian Adair explains its history and promising future—her segment will air on Sunday in Weekend Sunrise. LEX 18
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A car and motorcycle crashed on South Broadway and Virginia just after 11 p.m. Sunday — both vehicles caught fire and sent two people to the hospital with serious injuries. WKYT
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Small business owner Laura Mobley-Corn said her Express Employment Professionals location was set on fire early Saturday morning when a vandal broke a window — the incident caused an estimated $100,000 in damage and affected employees and job candidates while law enforcement gathers surveillance footage and other information. WKYT
- ➤ A Lexington woman was shot early yesterday and taken to a hospital for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound — police said they are still investigating the incident and have not identified a suspect. WKYT
- ➤ Georgetown Police are investigating a shooting incident where a vehicle was hit by gunfire on Tanbark Drive and ask the public to avoid both Timberland and Tanbark Drives — officials say there is no threat to the public. LEX 18

- ➤ The estate of Virginia Kraft Payson, the first reporter hired by Sports Illustrated and a noted thoroughbred owner, is being auctioned online by Bluegrass Auction (Appraisal and Realty, LLC) with over 1,200 items that tell the story of her global career. The auction began Sunday afternoon and will resume Saturday, June 21 at 10 a.m. FOX 56
