ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A driver sustained life-threatening injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Winchester Road near Lofgren Central and was taken to a local hospital—Winchester Road from Combs Fair to the Clark County Line remains closed with no timeline for reopening. WKYT
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Police responded to a call at 2:48 a.m. on June 29 on the 1000 block of Russell Cave Road—finding a man with stab wounds who was taken to a hospital with life threatening injuries, and the investigation is ongoing. WKYT
- ➤ Lexington Police responded to a barricade call on the 2000 block of Fontaine Road after the Lexington Fire Department was alerted just after 6:30 p.m. Sunday when a barricaded person was reported & a person was later taken in an ambulance. WKYT

- ➤ Lexington’s 17th annual Pride Festival drew thousands downtown on Saturday as people gathered on Oliver Lewis Way—celebrating love and inclusion with a debut pride parade that featured religious groups, rainbow flags and a marching band. FOX 56
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ A majority of CDC vaccine adviser picks endorsed thimerosal-free flu vaccines for the fall, and Dr. Elizabeth Hawse said thimerosal was taken out of most vaccines nearly 25 years ago—only one adult vaccine made in multi-dose vials still uses the preservative. She explained that the mercury used is ethyl mercury, not the harmful methyl mercury linked to autism. WKYT
