- ➤ A Fourth of July fire displaced five people from their home on the 2700 block of Crystal Falls Road when police responded to reports of flames before 10:45 p.m. on Friday—fire crews controlled the blaze and no injuries were reported. FOX 56
- ➤ On Saturday, July 5, a fire broke out in a detached garage at the 300 block of Hillcrest Avenue in Lexington, and three residents plus two dogs were evacuated—fire spread to the home causing moderate damage while no one was hurt as investigators searched for the cause. FOX 56

HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ HITS Boxing Club in Lexington hosted its first fundraiser when members completed 22 rounds—each round representing the average number of veterans who die by suicide daily—to raise funds and awareness for Watch My Six Kentucky, a nonprofit that pairs service dogs with veterans and first responders. Air Force Veteran Jason Kayla, who later joined the board, said the event showed that even on hard days, asking for help can make a big difference. FOX 56
