- ➤ Chanté Perryman, a Richmond woman, organizes a drive to collect period products for middle and high school girls in Madison, Estill and Garrard county schools because many students struggle to afford supplies and miss school. She began the initiative last year in five schools and will donate products worth $1,000 to each of 15 schools by collecting donations now and delivering them at the end of August. LEX 18
- ➤ Ordering through the McDonald’s app today gives families in need a boost as 20% of app-based sales are donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities — with RMHC of the Bluegrass receiving at least $250 per store — to support housing for families with sick children. ABC 36

- ➤ Lexington police seized over 600 pounds of marijuana and hemp flowers, several guns, and $210,000 from four vape shops on Wednesday—four people were charged with trafficking hemp over five pounds. LEX 18
