CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Lexington police arrested three suspects early Tuesday on Life Lane after they allegedly robbed a man at gunpoint — the department used its Flock camera system to track the suspects' vehicle, and the victim was not hurt. ABC 36
- ➤ Lexington police arrested three people on August 13 for robbing a van on Life Lane just before 1 a.m. after tracking the suspects using Flock cameras that captured the license plate near New Circle and Richmond. WKYT
- ➤ Gov. Andy Beshear confirmed that 1,985 driver’s licenses were revoked—after routine reviews uncovered irregularities in a fraud scheme—and a former clerk alleged that temporary employees sold the licenses to undocumented immigrants. LEX 18

- ➤ Fayette County Public Schools installed metal detectors in high schools — but have not yet equipped any of the 13 middle schools due to budget shortfalls; Superintendent Dr. Liggins said the district will add them when additional funds are available. WKYT

HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation received a $70,000 grant from WHAS Crusade for Children to improve pediatric care at Women’s Hospital at Saint Joseph East and Saint Joseph Jessamine. The funding will purchase an ultrasound machine for the Birth Center at Women’s Hospital — while Saint Joseph Jessamine will use it to buy an infant warmer for its emergency department, which sees nearly 25% of visits from patients under 18.
