- ➤ Stable Recovery volunteers and community members spent the day cleaning a house and five acres of land for Elizabeth Blythe— a well-known equine expert facing health and financial challenges. Volunteers raked leaves, cleared debris and used heavy machinery to prepare the property that Blythe has promised to donate to the nonprofit in her will. LEX 18

- ➤ Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman visited Lexington and Berea on Friday—she spoke at the Kentucky Association of Teacher Educators Conference at 9:30 a.m. and later announced the expansion of the Rise Up program in Berea that provided up to $25,000 in grants for first-generation homebuyers. ABC 36

- ➤ UK students are excited for Big Blue Madness as the event will start soon—many say it will kick off the school season. WKYT
- ➤ Kentucky dropped their second SEC game of the season to South Carolina 28—13 Saturday night in Columbia with fresh quarterback Boley throwing two interceptions and running back McGowan rushing for 112 yards on 17 carries. The Wildcats will face Georgia on October 4 at noon on ABC 36. ABC 36
