  • Lexington Police Department and other public safety officials hosted their third annual Faith & Blue event on Saturday to let local residents connect in a non-emergency setting. Attendees enjoyed lunch, saw emergency vehicles up close, and learned about crisis resources — including support from GreenHouse17 — in a community-focused environment.  WKYT

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Nearly two weeks into the shutdown, active duty members and veterans have faced delayed paychecks and paused VA services. Veteran Brian Amburgey said that while benefits like pensions, housing and suicide prevention programs continue, transitional support has been halted—he hopes Congress will restore full support soon.  WKYT
