- ➤ Central Bank Thursday Night Live celebrated its 30th anniversary on Thursday, April 3 at Tandy Park despite severe weather. Organizers said they monitored weather conditions closely while about 1,000 people enjoyed live music from Einstein’s Hammer and art displays from Lexington’s Art on the Town carts. FOX 56

EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Kentucky schools have closed today because heavy rain on April 3 caused flooding and made some roads impassable. Many districts including Russell, Garrard, Lincoln, Marion and Washington have declared NTI days — with rain expected through Sunday. FOX 56
- ➤ At Lafayette High School, Eva Alcaraz-Monje won the American Voices Medal, a gold medal, and a silver medal in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards while her peers Avinash Koul, Pol Marti, and Esme Morris earned silver medals in the national competition; Fayette County Public Schools is proud to honor these standout creative students. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Due to severe weather forecasts and safety concerns, Keeneland postponed its opening day with the final four races canceled — CEO Shannon Arvin said the change protects horses and guests — and rescheduled key races to Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday with free admission on the latter two days.
