- ➤ Councilmember Denise Gray said she will not run for reelection for the sixth district after serving since November 2022—she noted that the harsh media coverage during her sexual assault case led her to decide it was time to step aside and hopes new, dedicated leaders will step up. FOX 56
- ➤ The White Hall Volunteer Fire Department reported that Lexington Road at exit 90 in Richmond was closed in both directions at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday—officials said the closure stretches from the Derby Chase subdivision near exit 90 to Dishman Shell at the Boonesborough Road intersection and advised drivers to use an alternate route. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ UK Athletics Director Mitch Barnhart said Saturday that the program would adjust its operations after a court-approved NCAA settlement allowed schools to pay student-athletes directly—he noted that the new framework will take effect July 1 and add roughly 20 to 30 million dollars in extra annual expenses while changing revenue sharing.
